We flew up to Oshkosh, WI to the EAA's Annual Ski-in. Along side us are our friends Rick and Amy. They look WAY cooler than we do in their Cub on skis. We took the club C-172 and landed at Whitman Field.

Here is a great shot of the skis on the Cub. No heat in the Cub either. They may look really cool... but they feel really cool too.

Shannon and I were able to land at Whitman and have the FBO take us over to Pioneer Airport (where the ski-planes land) to barely catch Rick and Amy landing. Here we are together right after landing.

I could pretend this is them landing, but we didn't catch that on film. Instead, this is another beautiful Cub just after touch-down. It was really an incredible event to watch.

Here's a line of the ski-planes at around 10:30AM.

To help keep the engine from getting really cold while they're visiting, they wrap a blanket around the engine. Now its time for some chili! EAA provides chili and chicken noodle soup for everyone who comes in for the event at a nearby hangar.

After lunch, we all went over to the museum where Jeff Holle was teaching a composites class. EAA has Jeff do classes at the big show in July also. We think him smart. He's also good friends with Rick and Amy.

After saying hello to Jeff, we went through the EAA museum right there at the airport. Shannon took this one... I'll do my best and getting the name and background right: This is the P-38 Lightning. Supposedly there are only about 4 or 5 of them left in flying condition. Very rare.
