After assembling the bracket, we have to attach it back on to the aft spar to final drill the attach holes and debur so we can prime the spar and doubler.

Then we also had to drill a large hole on the left side forward spar for the trim tab cable. Something else we had to accomplish prior to priming.

We finally start priming. Here are the two sets of spars for the horizontal stab.

After a long week of priming we start cleco'ing for final assembly. Shannon ended up taking everything to school to prime since they have a paint booth and we don't have very good ventilation in the garage. Hopefully by this summer we'll be able to open the garage door and accommplish this task at home.

Here we have the majority of the horizontal stab riveted together. We did all of this with the hand-squeezers, but it was rather exhaustive because of the size of the rivet. Shannon did most of the squeezing while I lined everything up.

Goofy picture of Shannon with the hand-squeezers. This is after squeezing 20+ rivets and his forearms are screaming. He's now trying to talk me into buying the Cleveland's "Main squeeze", which is evidently a lot easier to squeeze than our Tatco's.
