The begining
The empenage parts arrive August 9th. We inventory the parts the next few days.

After we briefly read through the directions for assembly once, we start working. Here Shannon is breaking the edges on the horizontal stab reinforcement bars.

Our new workbench we made from scratch. It wasn't all that hard, but the basement is not an ideal place for working. The light is not great and we will be outgrowing the space quickly. Our minds are on the work that needs to be done on the garage so we can move out there.

Labor Day Weekend - Shannon and I start bright and early for a full day of building. We get much accomplished today. Spaz is starting to come down to the basement to hang out with us. The air compressor usually scares him upstairs though. Here is the front spar assembly cleco'ed together and we start preparing the ribs.
