After taking it all apart and priming, we attached the spar reinforcement plates where the nut plates attach.

Finally we have the rudder skeleton assembled and ready to put the skin on.

Before we cleco on the skin, we apply the RTV at the most aft end of the reinforcement bars as Van's recommends. Blue "bubblegum"... hmmmmmm.

Here's Shannon squeezing rivets. We are very proud to report that between our Tatco and "Main Squeeze" rivet squeezers, we were able to use solid rivets for all those required in and around the rudder control horn brace. Van's says you can use pop-rivets here - but we're hard core... and gloating!

It's Kandi's turn to squeeze a few rivets.

Here's the rudder with the skin full riveted on (no pop rivets used). Now it is time to roll the forward edge. This is uncharted territory for us, so we are a bit aprehensive.
